The Parkway South Patriots achieved remarkable success in their 2024 varsity baseball season, concluding with an outstanding overall record of 25 wins and 7 losses. This performance not only earned them their first conference championship since 2011 but also established a new school record for the most wins in a season.
The season began with a championship run at the Saint Charles West Tournament, where the Patriots secured wins against formidable opponents like Fort Zumwalt East (in extra innings), Windsor (one out away from a perfect game), Pattonville (in the freezing cold!), and SLUH. This championship start set a powerful tone for the rest of the season.
In conference play, the Patriots continued their strong performance with key victories over Hazelwood West, Northwest, Oakville, Parkway Central, Seckman, and Ladue en route to the first conference championship in 13 years.
In the postseason, the Patriots advanced to the district championship game following decisive victories against Lebanon and Eureka. Their season concluded with a hard-fought match against Lafayette, the eventual state finalist, highlighting the Patriots' competitive spirit and the high level of play.
Six Patriots players have committed to continuing their baseball careers at the collegiate level, demonstrating the depth of talent within the team.
The 2024 season for the Parkway South Patriots was not just a display of outstanding baseball but also a story of teamwork, execution, and setting new benchmarks. The record-setting achievements of this season have laid a strong foundation for future teams and a promise for more exciting baseball at Parkway South in the years to come!
The Patriots kicked off their 2024 season with a series of dramatic victories, clinching the SCW Championship Trophy.
The campaign began with an electrifying extra-inning win against the ranked Fort Zumwalt East, finishing 5-4 on Opening Day. The momentum continued as the Patriots dominated Windsor with a 15-0 victory, coming within one out of a perfect game. Facing Pattonville in chilly sub-freezing conditions, the team secured a hard-fought 4-2 win to secure their spot in the championship.
The championship game against SLUH proved to be one of the year's highlights. In a tightly contested battle, Brady Kehlenbrink and Luke Sullivan led a masterful pitching performance, leading the Patriots to a narrow 2-1 victory and the tournament championship.
For the first time since 2011 the Patriot Baseball program took home the Conference Championship finishing the conference season 6-1 and sharing the Suburban Conference - Red championship with Webster Groves.

After a tremendous regular season, the Patriots continued their solid play with two hard fought victories over Lebanon and Eureka to solidify their place in the district championship game against Lafayette.
Unfortunately the Patriots could not pull off the victory in the championship game, falling to the eventual state finalist, Lafayette, 3-1.

The Parkway South Junior Varsity baseball team experienced a season full of challenges and spirited play, finishing with an overall record of 10 wins, 13 losses, and 1 draw.
The season kicked off with tough, hard fought games including close losses against Eureka, Marquette, and Lafayette before tying Northwest. The club notched their first win in a 17-6 victory over a fiesty Fort Zumwalt West team that was previously undefeated.
The team's resilience was on display in back-to-back wins against St. Francis Borgia, showcasing the team's ability to clutch up under pressure. Finally, the JV teams back and forth battle with Lindbergh which ended with a come from behind 10-9 victory was one the team will remember for years to come!
The season also featured dominant performances both at the plate and on the mound, such as a 23-0 shutout against McCluer North and a commanding 12-0 win against Parkway Central, demonstrating the team's potential when hitting their stride.
Despite the ups and downs, the Patriots JV team showed growth and competitiveness throughout the season.
The Parkway South "C" Team had a season filled with growth and perseverance, finishing with an overall record of 8 wins and 14 losses.
A standout moment of the season came in their 2-1 victory over Kirkwood, highlighted by a stellar pitching performance from Drew Birkenholz, who delivered a gem on the mound.
The team ended the season on a high note, winning five of their last seven games and showcasing significant improvement across all phases of the game. These victories, including thrilling wins against CBC and McCluer North, demonstrated their ability to play at a much higher level, reflecting their hard work and determination throughout the season.
The strong finish sets a promising foundation for the players as they continue their development.
